New Login procedure for eCampusXL by using SURFconext:
Our e-Learning platform uses now SURFconext for authentication. SURFconext is the federation service of Dutch Higher Education. It is connected to our network authentication system so you can use your network credentials to logon to our services, for example - like here - our service eCampusXL.
When you try to logon to eCampusXL (Moodle) using the "Login box" in the upper right corner, the following screen will appear:
You enter here your username, followed by: @unesco-ihe.org
like this: email@example.com
Then you enter your password and click on the blue "sign in" button.
If it is the first time, it will show you the following screen:
It is a one-time approval to transfer data from the Identity Provider (our network authentication system) to the Server Provider (our Moodle).
This might seem odd since the Identity and Service are offered by the same organisation. However, SURFconext is also used by external service providers. It is good to know which data is exchanged with these external providers.
After this action, you will return to the Moodle home page.
From now on, clicking the login link or login button will immediately log you in using your network credentials.
END of MESSAGE.
UNESCO-IHE offers high-quality education support through our Virtual Learning Environment "eCampusXL", based on the free open source product Moodle. This platform fully supports all our educational offerings including regular MSc modules, short courses, online course modules as well as tailor made courses and collaborative activities in small student projects. It allows (registered) participants anytime and anywhere in the world - but also in Delft - to learn at their own convenience, and immediately apply their newly acquired knowledge in their working environment.
