Our e-Learning platform uses now SURFconext for authentication.
SURFconext is the federation service of Dutch Higher Education.
It is connected to our own "network authentication system" so you can use your network credentials to logon to our services.
When you now try to logon to eCampusXL, the first screen on the right will appear.
You enter here your username, followed by: @unesco-ihe.org
It looks like this: email@example.com
Then you enter your password and click on the blue "sign in" button.
If it is the first time, it will show you the second screen on the right:
It is a "one-time approval" to transfer data from the Identity Provider (our network authentication system) to the Server Provider (our eCampusXL / Moodle system).
This might seem odd since the Identity and Service are offered by us - the same organisation. However, SURFconext is also used by external service providers. Then it is good to know which data is exchanged with these external providers.
After this action, you will return to the eCampusXL/Moodle home page.
From now on, clicking the login link or login button will immediately log you in using your network credentials.
